The afternoon of Tuesday, September 8, from 3:30-4:30pm there will be a collection of food and select living items in the St. Francis parking lot. Brother Kevin Schilling has coordinated this effort with St. Vincent de Paul and our council for needy families in the area. The donations will be taken to Discover Burien to be distributed.
In addition to food, our neighbors-in-need require socks and shoes in preparation for fall/winter. These can be any size, but mostly for adults who require them during the cold months. Tarps, sleeping bags, and blankets are other wants. No matter what you’re able to donate, it will be of great assistance!
Our new Archbishop, Paul Etienne, will receive the pallium during a mass at 2pm, July 16, at St. James Cathedral. This will be the first time this ceremony has been performed in the Archdiocese of Seattle, as prior to 2015 it was performed in Rome. Please tune in to the livestream on either Vimeo or Facebook for this special event.
